Roadtrip to Dades Gorge

After breakfast we started our journey.  First stop an ancient water irrigation system.

They used to draw water from an underground river, since dried up.

On to Dades Gorge.

We walked (more like trekking) through the gardens along the spring fed irrigation canals.
Kamal pointed out all the herbs and veg and fruit along the way.

On to the second part of Dades Gorge, at the other end of the valley.

The drive up to the view point was harrowing with our self confessed 'car guy's, the switchbacks were many and narrow!

Finally our hotel, time for a rest and shower before dinner.

There are a couple of unoccupied stork nests on the two towers.
The dining room is lovely.
And the delicious!
